Financial aid extended to ten conflict-affected families

Imphal, January 11 2025:
Alva's Education Foundation, based in Moodbidri, Mangalore, Karnataka has extended financial help to the tune of Rs 1 lakh to ten families affected by the Manipur conflict yesterday.
The aid initiative was carried out under the supervision of Dr M Mohan Alva, Chairman and Vivek Alva, Managing Trustee, Alva's Education Foundation.
A sum of Rs 10,000 each was handed over to the selected ten families.
The beneficiaries were selected by the Manipuri Student Committee, which is under the Foundation.
They specially picked families whose homes were burnt to ashes, who lost their loved ones in the conflict and families who are struggling to make ends meet.
The beneficiaries include the family of Late Khoirom Meiraba from Ithai Barrage; Yangambam Modhubala, Bishnupur Ward No 8; Mayengbam (O) Bidyarani Leima from Pangaltabi Awang Leikai; family of Late Haobijam Somen Kumar from Pangei; family of Yumnam Shyam Singh from Saiton Santipur Awang Leikai and families of Meikam Ibelei Devi, Konthoujam Leirenton Devi, Ksh Sonia, Moirangthem James Singh and Konthoujam Nabachandra from Phougakchao Ikhai, Torbung.
The sum was handed over to the beneficiaries with the help of local coordinators Ajanta Moirangthem, Haobijam Dilip Singh and Moirangthem Abung who personally visited the ten families.
