Fresh bail move

Imphal, October 10 2019: Principal of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School, Pheiroijam Landhoni and her daughter, Pheiroijam Romita (coordinator) have filed fresh bail applications before the High Court of Manipur.

Landhoni filed for bail today through her counsel while her daughter, Romita, filed for the bail yesterday, praying to release them.

They are in custody over the mysterious death of Ningthoujam Babysana.

Landhoni's bail application has been application for hearing as item number 11 tomorrow, while that of Pheiroijam Romita was fixed for hearing on October 21.It may be mentioned that on October 7, Session Judge, Imphal West, rejected the bail applications filed by Landhoni and Romita as it did not find any ground to release them.

On the other hand, the hearing of the bail application filed by the junior administrator of the school Pheiroijam Robinson (who is also the son of Landhoni) has been listed for hearing tomorrow before the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal West.

It may be recalled that five individuals, namely Pheiroijam Landhoni, Pheiroijam Romita, Pheiroijam Robinson, head warden Illen Kamei and warden N Jinnty of the school, were arrested by the SIT of Imphal West district police which was constituted in connection with the mysterious death of Babysana.

Babysana was found hung to death inside the hostel of the school in the morning of July 18 .
