Foundation stone of ANSAM Secretariat laid

The foundation stone of the secretariat complex of the All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) was laid today at Katomei New Eden in the presence of UNC leaders, senior ANSAM leaders, civil societies, village leaders, Church leaders and student organizations.
The foundation stone was laid by Deputy Commissioner C Arthur who dwelt on the positive responsibilities of the civil societies in pursuing social justice and issues.
Lauding the ANSAM for having its own secretariat complex, the DC stated that
having such facilities will create the right atmosphere of the organization to function effectively.
Significantly, the father of the Senapati DC, the late Late C Peter Ngahanyui, IPS was the 1st president of ANSAM which was formerly known as Naga Students' Union, Imphal.
The ceremony was chaired by former ANSAM president Komu Sha while the prelude of the programme was given by ANSAM President Seth Shatsang.
Chief of Katomei Village P Tuiba pronounced the blessing of the foundation stone.
Patrick Kolakhe, first general secretary of ANSAM and former ANSAM president Paulhring Langhu also exhorted on the occasion.
Former ANSAM speaker and former SDSA president Peter Kuba delivered the words of gratitude.
Invocation was given by Mashangthei Mashangva, Pastor New Eden Baptist Church while Rev Fr Seisou John, Principal, Don Bosco Hr Sec Shcool, Senapati pronounced the benediction.
