Chandel, September 10 2019: A grand felicitation cum blessing programme of MP Dr Lorho S Pfoze was held at Maha Union Govt Higher Secondary School (MUGHSS) ground, Japhou in Chandel District today.

Various cultural dances of Maring and Aimol tribe were performed in the programme organised by District Felicitation Committee (DFC) of Naga People's Front (NPF).

Speaking at the occasion, Dr Lorho S Pfoze expressed his gratitude to the gatherings as well as the people of the area for their hardwork and prayers for his victory in the 17th Lok Sabha Election.

He called on everybody to stand united against any obstacles and challenges for a better Manipur.

"We have many big problems.

Let us pray so that God may lead us to right path and development," Lorho Pfoze continued while mentioning that the BJP-led Central Govt is a strong one and will work for the welfare of the people.

Regarding the memorandums submitted by the public, Lorho S Pfoze stated that he would go through it to put them before the Government for approval.

The MP also assured to take the voice of the people to the Parliament.

Tribe Hohos, Village Authorities, Chiefs and Mission Blind School Heikakpokpi in Chandel feted the newly elected MP with simple gifts.

Nansimrei Panmei, Chairman ADC Tamenglong; Liangpibou Kalengla, Spokesperson ADC Tamenglong; MDCs of ADC Senapati K David, R Asherii, RK Holison; MDCs of ADC Chandel Tongsim Willingson, Sh Manglem, KT Hari and Holngan were also present in the felicitation programme.

Members of NPF, UNC, CNPO, NSUC, villagers, church leaders, VAs, among others also attended the function.
