Meeting on Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 held at Noney

Noney, September 09 2024: A meeting was held in connection with the observance of Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 at DC Office, Longmai, Noney district today.

Notably, Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 is being observed all over the nation from September 14 to October 1, 2024.During the meeting, a PowerPoint presentation on the various activities to be taken up by Sub-Divisional Offices and District Level Officers of the district was delivered.

The different activities include Swachhata Ki Bhagidari, Sampooma Swachhata & Swacchata Lakshit and Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivirs.

It may be mentioned that under the Swachhata Ki Bhagidari, there will be widespread engagement with citizens, communities and organizations to raise awareness and trigger citizens' involvement.

Meanwhile, the Sampooma Swachhata campaign focuses on mega cleanliness drives with citizens across urban and rural areas.

Lastly, the SafaiMitra Suraksha Shivirs includes a single window for health and welfare camps for 'SafaiMitras' for preventive healthcare treatment and linkages with various welfare schemes of the Central and State Government.

PHED Noney will be the nodal department to plan and supervise Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 in the district.

DC Noney Sharath Chandra Arroju, SP Namsadai Peter, ADC Stiff Khapudang, SDOs of Longmai, Haochong, Khoupum and Nungba, District Level Officers (DLOs) and other concerned officials took part in the meeting.
