Hunger strike completes 23 days

The relay hunger strike launched by Uripok Apunba Lup (UAL) and Uripok Nupi Apunba Lup at Uripok Canteen Crossing demanding justice for the six women and children who were killed by Kuki terrorists in Jiribam, has completed 23 days today.
Speaking to media persons today, UAL general secretary Samo Dhrubra said that the relay hunger strike was launched condemning the killing of six innocent civilians including an 8-months-old infant by Kuki terrorists in Jiribam on November 11, 2024 .
He asserted that despite the widespread public protest demanding justice for the victims, the Government and its agencies have failed to take any concrete action and arrest the perpetrators involved in the gruesome killing of six women & children so far.
He lamented that both the Central and State Government have not given any positive response to the demands raised by UAL and Uripok Nupi Apunba Lup.
Furthermore, Dhrubra mentioned that the relay hunger strike will continue till the perpetrators are arrested and befitting punishment is awarded as per the law.
