Imphal, August 08 2015 : Sky Hospital and Research Centre, RIMS Road, has started providing free mobile medical and flood relief camp to people living along the course of Wangjing river which caused havoc few days back.

According to a statement, the first of such camp was held yesterday in Wangjing Heituppokpi and Sangaiyumpham areas.

Free medical check and necessary medicines for water borne diseases like diarrhoea, dysentery etc were extended to the people.

Altogether, 600 patients were examined at Wangjing and Sangaiyumpham, it said.

Sky Hospital also provided rice, dal, cooking salt and drinking water to 470 flood affected families.

The flood relief team was assisted by volunteers of Wangjing WHUPU Club and Sangaiyumpham MSDO, Pally bazar SCTRY Club.

Dr L Shyamkishore Singh, chairman of Sky Hospital and Research Centre, who personally supervised the relief activities assured that such camps will be provided to needy people in other districts of Manipur affected by the recent flood under its CSR programme.

At the same time, Andro PS, Tulihal GP and Tulihal Mayai Leikai Welfare Association jointly organised a free medical camp at Tulihal Mayai Leikai today.

According to a statement, staff and doctors of Public Hospital, Hatta extended assistance to the organisers.

About 350 people were examined during the camp.

Medicines were also distributed to them free of cost.
