Integration camp concludes

The five-day state level Integration camp on Youth for Promotion of Communal Harmony was concluded today at Govt Dance College Hall, Palace Compound.
The programme was organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Manipur Zone, Imphal under the sponsorship of Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu.
Distribution of certificates to the participants and presentation of various cultural items marked the closing function of the camp.
Presenting the camp report, Marjit of NYK, Bishnupur said the camp was attended by a total of 150 youths from 15 communities of the State drawn from the nine districts.
The resource persons of the camp were N Ibungochoubi, Ng Tejkumar and Prof Imo.
The valedictory function was graced by L Tilotama, Vice-Chairperson, Board of Governors, NYKS; Jackie Ruivah, Zonal Director of NYKS Manipur Zone; Anbu Kavitha, Training Officer cum Lecturer, SHANU Division, RGNIYD, Sriperumbudur as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking at the occasion, L Tilotama said there would be cordiality in the society should there be peace or integration in respective family, locality and group.
Since youth comprised 75 percent of the population, they must take great care while electing representatives so that peace and communal harmony is maintained intact, she added.
Tilotama also urged all concerned to consider all as friend while emphasising on the significance of 'friendship' .
