Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has conveyed warm wishes to the people of Manipur, especially the Zeliangrong brethren, on the joyous and auspicious occasion of Gaan-Ngai 2020 .
She noted that the festival, along with its religious fervour, has become a major cultural event of not only the Zeliangrong community but for other communities as well.
She also prayed for the festival to bring peace and prosperity to the State.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh also conveyed his warm wishes to the people, especially the Zeliangrong brethren, on the occasion of Gaan-Ngai 2020 .
He said that the festival is an essential element of the identity of the Zeliangrong community and prayed for the festival to bring happiness and prosperity, apart from spreading the message of unity, love, peace and brotherhood among all the communities of Manipur.
Speaker Y Khemchand Singh also conveyed wishes to the Zeliangrong people on the occasion.
He also wished for the festival to bring success and happiness to the communities in Manipur.
Works Minister Th Biswajit, Forest and Environment Minister Th Shyamkumar and CAF&PD Minister Karam Shyam also wished the people of Manipur on the occasion of Gaan-Ngai 2020.On the other hand, ex-Dy CM Gaikhangam and MPCC president M Okendro also wished the Zeliangrong community on the auspicious occasion of Gaan-Ngai.
Similarly, Manipur Peoples' Democratic Front, Republican Party of India (A) and NEIDP also wished the people on the occasion of Gaan-Ngai festival.
