JNN invites applications for journalist award

Jiribam, November 06 2024: Jiri News Network has invited applications for the 2nd Kekrebam Sanaton Singh Memorial Best Journalist Award 2024 .

The biennial Kekrebam Sanaton Singh Memorial Best Journalist Award 2024 will be handed out in commemoration of the 20th foundation day of Jiri News Network (JNN) at JMC Multi Utility Auditorium Hall on November 20, as per a press release issued by S Herajit Singh, chairman, JNNC.

Journalists interested in applying for the award have been instructed to submit one coloured photo, bio-data, news clippings/news printed or broadcasted via print or electronic media between November 21, 2022 to November 10, 2024 and a write-up on the hardships of being a journalist (limit 100 words) to WhatsApp number 9612901529 or 7005446297 or email id: [email protected] by 5 pm of November 12 .

Former award winners cannot re-apply.

The award will be given to two journalists, one from Jiribam and the other from the rest of the districts in Manipur.

The award is sponsored by K Saratkumar Singh, general secretary, BJP Manipur Pradesh and chairperson, Manipur Building & Other Construction Workers' Welfare Board in memory of his late father.

The Kekrebam Sanaton Singh Memorial Best Journalist Award comes with a citation, shawl, memento and cash award of Rs 10,000.Further details can be obtained from Seram Herajit Singha - 7086023979, Rabi Takhellamba - 7005345029 and Nilima Sagapam - 9862943735 .
