KSO Saikul fetes successful candidates

Six toppers in HSLC and HSE 2014 under BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE in respect of Saikul Block including all other successful candidates have been felicitated today in a felicitation function of HSLC and HSE successful candidates in respect of Saikul Block organized by Kuki Students' Organization Saikul Block at Saikul Community Hall today.
DK Thangboi Haokip, Addl Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi; T Manihar Singh, SDO/BDO Saikul; Thangkam Lupheng, President Kuki Inpi Saikul Gamkai and Thangminlen Kipgen, President, KSO Sadar Hills graced the function as chief guest, guest of honour and functional president respectively.
Pastor Lalboi Haokip, KBC Centre Church, S Salem Saikul attended the function as Blessing Minister.
Among the six toppers Sonngam Haokip of Model English Hr Sec School, Saikul who secured 69.2% in HSLC 2014 in Saikul Centre was awarded with Late Sonneithang Karong Meritorious Award while Ngahneikim Kipgen of the same institution with 69% in HSE 2014 was awarded with Late Thangtong Misao Meritorious Award.
Seiminlen Haokip of Baptish English Hr Sec School, Motbung topped the table in outside Saikul Exam Centre category with 77.4% in HSLC and Letminhao Baite of JNV Mao, Senapati topped the table in CBSE Class X with 93.6%. While in the category of outside Saikul Exam Centre in Class XII (Science), Kimneilhing Haolai of Don Bosco School, Churachand-pur topped the category with 73.8% and Nengneihoi Guite of the same institution topped the category in Class XII (Arts) with 73.2%. DK Thangboi Haokip, Addl Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi emphasized the importance of job orientation career and spoke on how the student could crack the entrance examination in NEED and JEE after passing 10+2 while SDO/BDO Saikul T Manihar Singh said the student should struggle hard to succeed not only for them but for the society and area as a whole for better development and changes.
"Will you be able to fulfil your duties and responsibilities successfully while your parent have already fulfill their duties and responsibilities successfully?", Thangkam Lupheng put a question mark to the student while urging them to excel in every field they opted in the career.
KSO Sadar Hills President Thangminlen Kipgen while lauding the tremendous contribution of KSO Saikul Block in their struggle to bring quality education in the area exhorted the student to continue their effort and hard work they rendered in their studies as a duty to the nation.
He continued that those students who have no determination and enthusiasm in study should abort immediately since it will be a waste of time, money and life rather such students should take up another good profession according to their interest.
Sadar Hills 2030 Vision programme and strategies would be released soon, he said and added that KSO Saikul block was once termed as "Centre for passing HSLC and HSE" but now due to the tireless efforts and struggles of KSO Saikul block that bad name has started vanishing.
"The highest form of blessing a person can obtain from above is to be a blessed person for other", asserted Pastor Lalboi Haokip before having a blessing prayer for all successful candidates from Saikul block in HSLC, HSE as well as CBSE adding that such person develops, changes and uplifts the society.
A solo song from D Paominthang and Boishi Hangshing mesmerised the audience that comprised of students from various educational institutions, parents, guardians, chiefs, CSOs and church leaders.
