Imphal, February 06 2025: Combined team of Kakching district commando and Central armed forces carried out search operation and recovered arms and ammunition from secluded area of Wangoo Nongyai Hill range foothills today early morning According to the source combined team comprise of Kakching district commando, team of Wangoo Police Station, platoon of 6th Battalion BSF, column each of 46 Assam Rifle and 2 MAHAR regiment under the command of Subedar S Birla OC Kakching commando and under the overall supervision of Th Vikramjit SP Kakching conducted joint operation at the General area of Wangoo Mameiching and Nongyai Hill range from 6:30 am to 8:50 am.

During the search operation combined team recovered arms and ammunition concealed inside empty rice sack from secluded area of Wangoo Nongyai Hill range foothills.

The recovered arms and ammunition include One Single Barrel, One SLR rifle with Empty Magazine, Two high explosive hand Grenades, one Tear Gas Grenade, one Tear Gas Shell and Two number of improvised explosive device weighing (600 gram Approx.) The recovered arms and ammunition were seized on spot by observing necessary formalities and handed over to the Wangoo Police Station for further investigation and necessary legal procedure said sources.
