4 UG cadres held from different locations

Imphal, July 05 2014 :
A combined team of Imphal East district police commando and 30 Assam Rifles arrested an active member of United Revolutionary Front (URF) from his residence.
He is identified as Keisham Shantikumar Singh (45) S/o K Ibobi Singh of Tellou Mayai Leikai.
A 9mm pistol containing 10 live rounds, one .32 pistol loaded with five rounds and five numbers of WT sets were recovered from his house.
A case has been registered at Lamlai Police station and further investigation is underway.
In another incident, based on reliable information, about the movement of KYKL cadre in the general area of Sekmaijin and Arong, a combined team of Thoubal District Police Commando Unit, 2 Assam Rifles and 22 Assam Rifles conducted a search operation in Sekmaijin and Arong areas on July 5, 2014.During the operation an active KYKL cadre which has been identified as Laishram Rajesh Singh alais Ninghthi (27), s/o L Ibungo, Tera Hiyangthang was arrested.
Rajesh is said to be involved in extotion and recruitment of cadres.
A case has been registered at Thoubal district.
A combined team of I/E commandoes alongwith women police has arrested an active women member of RPF/PLA.
She is identified as Sanasam (N) Laishram (O) Ingelei Devi(32) W/o L Sunil Singh alias Inaoba of Kiyamgei Mamang Leikai from Singjamei Bazaar.
She works under the her husband and on her way to collect extortion money from an unknown person on advice of her husband.
One mobile handset alongwith a SIM was seized from her possession.
Further investigation is underway.
A combined team of Thoubal district commando unit and 2nd AR conducted search operation based on a reliable information in and around Khangabok Part-I area.
During the search operation, an overground worker of PLA identified as Md Tondon alias Tamijur Rahman (30) S/o (L) Md Abdul Aji of Hayel Labuk Mayai Leikai was arrested from a nearby workshop at Khangabok part-I area.
Investigation revealed that h e was involved in transportation of detonators and bomb from Myanmar to Imphal.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
