PNU and Frontal Organizations extend solidarity and support to fire victims in Lower Koide village

Senapati, February 05 2025:
A delegation from the Poumai Naga Union (PNU), led by its president, Eno RB Pani, accompanied by officials from PNU's frontal organizations, the Poumai Naotumai Me (PNM) and Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me (PNTM), visited Lower Koide village today to express solidarity with the family of Eno Th Danii, whose house was completely gutted in a devastating fire in the early hours of February 3, 2025 .
The fire, which broke out in the wee hours of February 3, reduced the family's home and all their belongings to ashes, causing an estimated loss of property worth around 60 lakhs, said in a release issued by PNU.
The family's youngest son Eno D Rahavei, a class X student at Naga Public School, succumbed to injuries sustained during the incident.
He was rushed to District Hospital, Senapati and later referred to RIMS, where he was declared dead.
The loss of such young and promising life has left the family and the entire community in profound grief.
During the visit, the PNU delegation expressed their deep shock and sorrow over the incident.
President, Eno RB Pani described the situation as "heart-wrenching and unimaginable," stating, "Nothing hurts me more than this incident, which has not only destroyed the family's life savings and endeavors but has also taken the precious life of a young, bright soul.
The officials also prayed for the speedy recovery of Enoli Serou, wife of Eno Th Danii, who displayed immense courage during the tragedy to save her son, Rahavei.
Eno Ng Joseph, vice-president, PNU also urged the community to come together in prayer and support for the bereaved family.
Eli Delilah Pao, president of PNM, also expressed her profound grief over the incident.
"As a mother, I can feel the pain and anguish of the family, we stand with the family in this hour of need and assure them of every possible assistance", said Delilah.
The officials also commended the swift response of the DC Senapati, Enoli Mamoni Doley, IAS and Eno S Lunguiba Thangal, MCS, SDO/BDO Purul, who assured the family of all possible support.
The officials als expressed gratitude to Eli Elizabeth Dziizii, vice-president of SDWA, for accompanying the delegation and showing their solidarity and support.
Further, Eno Dalounii Angam, president of PNTM, and Eno L Pule, president of PNTM - Lepaona, also conveyed their deep sadness over the tragic incident.
They expressed their heartfelt condolences to the grieving family and assured them that the Poumai community stands united in their support.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of community resilience and collective assistance to help the affected family recover and rebuild.
