VFM to expose RIMS director Shekharjit

Imphal, September 04 2014: Vision Foundation Manipur businesman, in an attempt to eradicate corruption from the State, has informed that it would take up severe action against RIMS Director, Shekharjit and his wife Damayanti, Advisor on the charge of corruption and fraudulence.

Founded in the year 2011, the Vision Foundation Manipur has been gathering informations to check corruption in the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) .

RIMS director Shekharjit, has been, under RTI, required to answer queries regarding hospital funds.

The National Commission had also directed the director give possible explanations.

However, not only did Shekharjit denied explanation, he sent his wife to negotiate with the foundation's chairman.

And various other MLAs and workers threatening Vision Foundation to back down from their stand.

The incidents, a press Statement issued by the secretary general VFM, clearly indicated the corruption and fraudulence of the Director.

In 2013, the High Court ordered a review DPC on RIMS Director Shekharjit for violating MCI rules and regulations.

The order was, however, never carried out.

VFM has therefore taken the initiative to expose the fraudulence and corruption which are being carried out in the hospital, it stated.
