Tripura leads in LPG price

Following the revised rate of LPG cooking gas by the Central Government, Tripura has emerged as the State with the costliest LPG cylinder in the whole North East region while Manipur and Mizoram have come in a close second together.
It may be mentioned that the Central Government usually revises the rate of LPG every month.
With the price of the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder increasing from last month following the new revision, the rate of LPG cylinder at Agartala has reached Rs 1027.5 while for Imphal and Aizawl, the rate is at Rs 1018.According to the new revised rate which came into effect from October 1, a full 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder now costs Rs 930.5 in Guwahati, Rs 946.5 in Itanagar, Rs 948 in Shillong and Rs 898.5 in Kohima.
Compared to last month's rate, the LPG price increased by Rs 60.5 in Imphal (the price was Rs 957.5 last month), the same as Agartala.
For Guwahati, the rate increased by Rs 59.5 from the earlier Rs 871 per cylinder.
In the case of Itanagar, the price of an LPG cylinder last month was Rs 887 before it increased by Rs 59.5 this month, the same as Shillong (Rs 888.5 per cylinder last month) .
For Kohima, an LPG cylinder cost Rs 840 last month before it increased by Rs 58.5 this month.
However, with the increase in the price of the LPG cylinders, the Government subsidy rates have also increased with the rates now being Rs 518.03 for Agartala, Rs 391.84 for Kohima, Rs 508.51 for Imphal, Rs 441.36 for both Shillong and Itanagar, Rs 519.94 for Aizawl and Rs 436.13 for Guwahati.
As per the newly revised LPG rate, the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders has also increased considerably with the price in Imphal climbing from Rs 1688.5 last month to Rs 1779.5 this month, Rs 1508 to Rs 1596.5 in Guwahati, Rs 1688 to Rs 1779 in Aizawl, Rs 1542.5 to Rs 1634 in Itanagar, Rs 1545.5 to Rs 1636.5 in Shillong, Rs 1459 to Rs 1550 in Kohima and Rs 1676.5 to Rs 1765 in Agartala.
