K Khamba refutes claims

Imphal, February 03 2022: The Republican Party of India (Athawale), RPI (A) candidate from Khurai AC, Khagokpam Khamba has expressed his gratitude towards RPI (A) for the party ticket and added that his main priorities in the ensuing State Assembly election would revolve around development of human resources and agro economy.

The statement was made during a press meet conducted at Khagokpam Khamba's residence in Kongpal Laishram Leikai today.

The press meet was attended by T Nabachandra, Advisor, Central Election Committee; Th Manibabu, president and several other prominent leaders of the State.

Speaking to the media, Kh Khamba expressed his appreciation towards RPI (A) national president Ramdas Athawale and State president Maheshwor Thounaojam and the core committee members.

He stated that he would pour his efforts in increasing the strength of the Party in Khurai AC.

He added that it was unfortunate that certain unsavoury characters had spread various rumours in connection with him receiving the party ticket.

He clarified that the party ticket had been given following many surveys and field reports and accusing him of buying his way into purchasing a ticket was grossly unfounded.

His reason for contesting in the ensuing State Assembly is to improve Khurai AC in general and more specifically to upgrade the irrigation system and develop the education sector, he added.

He appealed to the people of Khurai AC to support him and help him realise his goals.
