TSE sub-editor selected for AHPI's medical media fellowship

Sub-editor of The Sangai Express, Kharibam Yaiphaba has been selected for the 1st Medical Media Fellowship of Association of Healthcare Providers India (AHPI) .
He was among four journalists of the State selected for the same.
The other journalists selected are- Ngangom Suraj, Sub-editor of People's Chronicle; Elangbam Ojitkumar (Mushuk), Reporter of Impact TV and Leimapokpam Kabichandra, Video journalist of Impact TV.
AHPI president Dr Palin Khundongbam made the announcement today during a press conference held at Shija Hospital & Research Institute, Langol.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Palin said that the Medical Media Fellowship was launched with the aim to promote balanced reporting on the challenges, opportunities and success of healthcare in Manipur.
He asserted that the twomonth fellowship programme will offer a unique opportunity to the fellows to gain a comprehensive understanding of Manipur's healthcare landscape and report on the challenges, success and stories from the ground.
Dr Palin also said that the immersive programme, spanning four hours each day, will cover a well-rounded curriculum wherein participants will benefit from a wide array of healthcare topics.
Notably, the AHPI, Manipur Chapter was formed in early 2020 when the Corona Pandemic started.
Since then, the organisation has been actively involved in the mass awareness campaign, treatment and Covid vaccination, palliative care, patient safety culture, etc.
