Packaged drinking water testing machines

A proposal to purchase a set of new machines capable of testing the purity of packaged drinking water sold in the State is to be sent by the State Food Testing Laboratory to the State Government shortly.
According to reports obtained from the Food Testing Laboratory, there are some machines to test the cleanliness of foods.
But there are still more new machines to be installed in the laboratory.
At present the works of the Food Testing Laboratory are being carried out from a building of the Health Department which used to serve as a library of the department earlier.
The Food Testing Laboratory is at present planning to forward a proposal to the State government for installing some new machines for testing the purity of packaged drinking water available in the State.
For the packaged drinking water to be tested, at least 51 tests are required.
For this, a totally new infrastructure needs to be set up, the report added.
