DTH sets distributed by DGP in Imphal West district

Imphal, September 02 2011: DGP Y Joykumar has distributed DTH sets among 13 youth clubs and NGOs under Imphal West district.

The DTH sets were han-ded over to the beneficiary youth club/NGO representatives during a simple function held at the conference room of SP of Imphal West District Police today.

Speaking at the occasion, the DGP observed that there is no close relation between the police and the public as there is no such MCA programme like that of the Army and Paramilitary forces.

This issue was taken up for discussion in the conference of the police chiefs held recently.

The State police department has also taken up the matter with the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Recalling that TV and DTH sets have been made provided among the people through their respective youths club during the World Cup Football tournament in the past, the police officer said it is in continuation of this efforts that DTH sets are being provided.

However, these DTH sets should be used purposefully, he added.

Many Imphal West district police officers were also present during the function.
