Manipur People's Party (MPP) president Dr Nimaichand Luwang accused the Congress Government of compounding miseries of the State masses.
Speaking at the one-day Wangkhem Kendra MPP political conference organised today by MPP Youth Front at Charangpat Mamang Leikai, the former Minister alleged biasness of the SPF Government in the implementation of various welfare programmes consequently multiplying problems of the people.
He claimed that in case MPP returns to power State masses there will be no disparities in the empowerment of the general public.
Former Lok Sabha Member of Parliament Th Chaoba contending that people of Manipur had been enduring perilous situation during the 10-year continuous rule of the Congress party said there no significant development programme has been initiated by the SPF Government.
Criticising the recent announcement of constituting a Cabinet sub-committee to check corruption in the State, Chaoba insisted that assets of the panel members need to be made public.
With reference to a violent incident at a Sangaiyumpham locality in Thoubal district today, he said random issuance of gun license triggered the violence in addition to opining that N Biren should have stepped down from Ministership taking moral responsibility of his very own son gunning down a youth recently.
