Imphal, February 02 2014: Joint Action Committee of SAI NERC Contract Coaches has pleaded the Government and SAI authority to reinstate the service of sacked contract coaches.

In a press conference held at the conference hall of Manipur Olympic Association, Khuman Lampak, committee chairman Thangjam Kirankumar strongly condemned service termination of contract coaches.

Demanding immediate rectification of the rules that permit sacking of coaches without giving any prior information, Kirankumar urged the authority concerned not to violet the right of the coaches.

Taking part at the press conference, wushu coach Biramani said that it was unfortunate to immediately sack long suffered coaches.

Urging the SAI Director to take up necessary steps for reinstation of the coaches, Biramani opined that the Director must step down from his post on moral ground if he cannot oppose such unfortunate decisions.

It may be mentioned that trainees of different sports disciplines staged a sit-in-protest against sudden sacking of contract coaches on January 25 .
