False bomb alarm leads to roadblock

Kakching, November 30 2013 :
National Highway 102 (Imphal-Moreh) was closed for around 4 hours today following recovery of an explosive like material at Lousi Khongjao under Kakching PS in Thoubal district today around 6.30am.Police source said that an ROP of 27 AR sensed an explosive like material (wire) near Lousi Khongjao this morning around 6.30.Immediately, Kakching PS was informed about the matter and the highway was closed.
Top officials of 27 AR and officers of Kakching PS including the SDPO rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.
However, a team of the police bomb experts confirmed that the suspicious material was not an explosive.
