Educational trip for children home inmates

Kids from Carmel Jyoti Children Home, Luwandsangbam in Imphal made a pleasurable and educational trip to worth seeing places in and around Imphal.
Led by programme manager of the children home David Gangmei, 50 kids below the age of 14 who belonged to underprivileged section of the society enjoyed heartily on this singular day set aside once in a year.
The kids have shown overwhelming joy by shouting and cheering when they witnessed the scenic beauty of Singda Dam after travelling for an hour from the state capital Imphal.
The kids expressed their unbound happiness to see this very rare tourist spot of Manipur.
Subsequently, they visited a 'Millennium Garden' where they enjoyed swinging, playing in the slide and see-saw.
The exciting kids went around the garden seeing the multitude of blooming flowers at the best.
With much keenness they also visited the one and only Zoological Garden of the state.
The kids went around seeing the different species of animals, birds, reptiles, etc.
with their own eyes for the very first time in their life.
The kids went around delightfully seeing those rare species which they came across in their school text books.
Surprisingly, they landed up at Sangai Festival site finally in Imphal.
The Festival authorities have shown their special concern by freely allowing the kids to join the festivity.
Kids moved from stall to stall witnessing varieties of products which are on exhibition cum sale.
However, the kids were more attracted to robe-way, boating and rolling balloons in water.
The Carmel Jyoti inevitably extended its heartfelt gratitude to 69th battalion CRPF, Mantripukhri for the special support by providing a Bus for the outing day.
This very act of service to the society will be ever cherished in the days to come too, David Gangmei said.
