Imphal, August 31 2013 : Old age pension cards were distributed to 200 elder nemeficiaries selected from polling station 38 of Wangkhem AC at the residence of MLA Keisham Meghachandra Singh at Yairipok Vishnunaha today.

Speaking at the occasion, K Meghachandra Singh, Parliamentary Secretary (MI & IPR) said that process is on for availing the pension books to 100 other beneficiaries.

Urging to take benefits of many other pensions like widow pension, handicapped pension etc provided by Social Welfare Department besides old age pension, he said, "Benefits of Central Govt sponsored schemes, development works irrespective of rural or urban areas have been given to the people" .

He then pledged to work on making the schemes taken up time to time by the State and Central Govt and any development fund reach the people.

So, the Pradhan, Councillor, Member and people are requested to cooperate in development works.
