Now recharge electric prepaid meter on Paytm

Paytm has partnered with Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL), one of the largest power distribution companies across North East India, to enable easy prepaid electricity recharge for its consumers across Manipur.
MSPDCL subscribers can now recharge their prepaid electricity meters on Paytm in a quick and hassle-free manner.
Paytm customers across Manipur can now tap on the 'Electricity' icon in their Paytm app, choose their electricity board, enter their consumer number and recharge prepaid meters within seconds conveniently.
Commenting on the partnership, Sonia Dhawan, deputy general manager, Paytm said, "Our aim is to revolutionize bill payments and we are confident subscribers across Manipur will find our service convenient and useful.
The recent surge in online bill payments across India reaffirms our belief that consumers love the great experience our cashless payments offer.
This is in line with our vision to make cashless payments a way of life across the country" .
In addition to MSPDCL, Paytm has also partnered with several other power distribution companies including BSES Rajdhani, TPDDL, CESC, UPPCL, SNDL, Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam and BESCOM Limited to extend its quick and seamless electricity bill payments experience to consumers across the country.
Paytm is looking to aggressively expand in everyday use cases ranging from online recharges and bill payments to gas and water bills as a part of its plan to build a strong network effect for its robust network of services.
It is leveraging the positive network effect of its various online and offline use-cases to establish India's largest cashless payment ecosystem.
