Imphal, December 31 2012: Carrying forward the public outcry against molestation of a film actress and firing at two male artistes by one Livingstone Anal of NSCN-IM, protest demonstrations were staged today at Keishamthong.

The protest demonstration was jointly organised by Keishamthong Hodam Leirak Yumjao Lairembi Nupi Kanglup, Keishamthong Longjam Leirak Meira Paibi Lup, Elangbam Leirak Nupi Meira Paibi Lup, Top Leirak Meira Paibi Lup, Keishamthong Hanuba Leirak Meira Paibi Lup and Ipak Film Production.

Talking about the series of protest agitation being organised under the aegis of Film Forum Manipur, State Shumang Leela Council and the All Manipur Matam Eshei Kanglup, secretary of the Keishamthong Hodam Leirak Yumjao Lairembi Meira Paibi Lup L Mangita said that Livingstone was humiliating all the womenfolk of the State when he molested the film actress.

Decrying the failure of the Government of India and Government of Manipur to book Livingstone till date, Mangita urged the authorities to round up Livingstone at the earliest and punish him according to his crime in public.

She also condemned the killing of journalist Thangjam Dwijamani (Nanao) in police firing when he was covering a scuffle between police and protesters at Thangmeiband on December 23 .

She also condoled the demise of Th Dwijamani.
