Thanga MLA inaugurates newly constructed school buildings

Bishnupur, December 30 2024: Thanga Assembly Constituency MLA Tongbram Robindro Singh inaugurated the newly constructed building of Khordak Khongbal High School, Keibul Chingmei High School and Thanga Higher Secondary School.

The building was constructed under the funding of Samagra Shiksha Manipur.

The inaugural function was attended by MLA Thanga AC and chairman of MSPDCL, Tongbram Robindro Singh, Director Education (S) State Project Director Samagra Shiksha Manipur, L Nandakumar Singh and MES I, ZEO Zone IV Bishnupur, N Chingkhei Singh, Head Master Khordak Khongbal High School, N Sanathoi Singh, Deputy of Inspector Moirang, M Dinesh Singh and All Manipur Thanga People's Welfare Association, president, M Rachandra Singh as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Tongbram Robindro highlighted the significant development of the Education sector in Thanga Constituency, noting that there is no need to study in far flung areas."He continued that in Thanga Constituency, there is now a total number of five high schools and one higher secondary school and therefore urged the people to promote the newly constructed schools.

Th Nandakumar Singh in his speech stated that surrounding plays an important role for a school to survived He added that efforts have begun to equip schools with smart boards to enhance teaching.

"As part of this initiative, a smart board has been provided to Khordak Khongbal High School, he added.

He also assured that the remaining materials of the newly inaugurated school will be handed before the commencement of the new session.
