Kangpokpi, August 30 2014 : All Tribal Students' Union Manipur (ATSUM) has vehemently condemned the police action in Ukhrul town wherein two persons died today.

President of the student body Emboi Serto regretfully stated that security personnel in the State never fail to harm innocent civilian whenever confrontation crops up while completely forgetting that they (security personnel) are the protector not of slayer.

A visibly upset Emboi asserted that it becomes harder and harder for the innocent civilian in the State particularly for the innocent tribal people to survive.

Emboi further questioned, "Why there is a massive difference between the mass rally taken out at Ukhrul and Imphal where 144 CrPC has been clamped both in the district?" while wondering that is it the way the tribal people are treated in the State? .

While condoling the demise of the two persons he said, "We will not remain silent if the guilty personnel are not punished according to the law of the land" .
