Jiribam, November 28 2019: The Jiribam markets vendors has urged the authority concerned to remove the unauthorised urinal located near Foreigner Check Post along NH-37.The vendors said due to lack of proper management the market vendors are facing acute problem every day by the odour emitted from the urinal.

Speaking to media person, one of the woman vendors stated that the unauthorised urinal constructed near the market place causes serious problems to the vendors and customers.

"Such odour is intolerable and it might cause illness to the people, she said and appealed the concerned authority to remove this unauthorised urinal at the earliest.

On the other hand, N Dinamani Singh, a senior citizen who runs a tailor shop at the market said the market vendors had opposed the construction of urinal adjacent with shops and NH-37 but the authorities did not heed to their voice.

He also contended that the Government has constructed a well equipped and hygienic public toilet nearby Ema Kheitel of Jiribam bazaar but none used the toilet and instead people often passed urine in the unauthorised urinal or in the open space, causing intolerable an unhygienic atmosphere in the market.

He then urged the concerned authorities to remove the unauthorised urinal so as to maintain a hygienic atmosphere in the market.
