Imphal, November 27 2011: The United Naga Council has condemned the abduction of KT Joseph of Rosofil, Personal Assistant of Education, Youth affairs and Sports Minister DD Thaisii by some unidentified miscreants from Lamphel area of Imphal West.

A press release issued by the body said that KT Joseph was abducted while he was on his way to drop his daughter at her school.

It is also said that such crime committed in the heart of the city and in broad daylight reflected a lawless State.

The body also urged the authority concerned of the State Government to rescue KT Joseph and give befitting punishment to the abductors.

UNC also joined the family and dear ones of KT Joseph in praying for his safe and early return, added the statement.

In a separate statement, Tangkhul Aze Katamnao Long (TAKL) also condemned the abduction of KT Joseph.

The union also appealed the concerned individuals and groups for his safe release on humanitarian ground.
