KIC slams continued groupism amongst ADC Members of CCpur

CCpur, September 26 2020: The Kuki Inpi Churachandpur has today publicly accused the ADC members from the district of exhausting majority of their tenure by locking themselves up in one camp or the other and thus paralysing the functioning of the grassroot level of Government.

The recurring power struggle amongst the District Council Members, dividing themselves into one camp or the other is nothing but an aberration, a boorish conduct on their part.

This despicable and irresponsible behaviour has become a new norm, an anomaly, synonymous with ADC Churachandpur, said the KIC in a statement issued today.

Their bahavioir has largely eroded the trust of the people/public in their sincerity and proprietary as an elected representatives, accountable to their electorate-the people, it added.

As such, the KIC is peeved and annoyed to no end that the whole gamut of their political play is engineered by the groups to thwart the other group or vice versa.

A clear indication of their self-centredness and bigotry.

'This detestable culture has to end right away, in the interest of the people,' it said.

Therefore it made a clarion call on the ADC members to listen to their inner voices and to immediately shun such petty politics and groupism and to start conducting themselves as responsible representative.

The KIC also appealed to the State Government and the High Court to settle the present imbroglio in the council at the earliest, otherwise the Kuki civil societies will not remain a silent bystander, said the statement.
