Governor holds meeting with Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai

Imphal, November 25 2016: Governor Najma Heptulla met Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai Devi today and discussed the schemes/programs taken up by the Social Welfare Department and the mechanism being adopted for their effective implementation.

The Governor, during the meeting, underlined the need for providing skill training with special focus on women and youths in order to generate employment and entrepreneurship for improving their economic condition.

Mirabai informed the Governor that Skill Development is part of Social Welfare Department and that she has been helping women and youths to avail schemes and programs being implemented under her Department.

She also urged the Governor to help her in providing more assistance and cooperation from the Central Government.

Governor Najma Heptulla said reaching out to people through the schemes of the Government will give an opportunity to connect and infuse confidence in the public.
