School rooms extension inaugurated

ADC Chairman of Sadar Hills, Haokholal Hangshing has inaugurated an extension of class rooms under SSA of Nungsai Chiru UJB School today.
Speaking as the chief guest of the inaugural function, Haokholal Hangshing assured the upgradation of Nungsai UJB School to Junior HS status if and when upgradation of schools are taken up.
Stating that teachers alone could not be held responsible for making a good school, Haokholal said the school management committees and chiefs/headmen have also great role to play.
He also added that basic democratic norms should be imbibed to school children.
Maintaining that economic reforms should begin at the grassroots level, the ADC chairman stressed on the need to sensitise the students on economic front too.
He lamented that many chiefs have monopolised the funds under MGNREGS which are basically meant for rural upliftment.
Haokholal also promised to contribute for the upgradation of Nungsai UJB school to a Junior HS level if and when power is devolved to ADC in letter and spirit.
The function was also attended by ADC member Roinganthanga, Vice-Chairman of Sadar Hills ADC, Paojalet Touthang and executive member Bonthoulung Panmei as the president and guests of honour respectively.
