Vaccination camp reaches Ukhrul village

Ukhrul, August 25 2024: A free vaccination cum animal health awareness camp was held at Sinakeithei village in Ukhrul yesterday.

The programme, organised following the instruction of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Minister Khashim Vashum, saw dogs, pigs and cattle vaccinated.

Veterinary Department Ukhrul Joint Director, Dr N Bhubaneswar Singh arranged the team of doctors.

Dr Michael Khoveio, Dr Tamchuila Awungshi, Worrin Jajo- Paravet, Lokin VFA, Yaomaya, Thanngam Muivah and Timothy Kamei from National Insurance and Sinakeithei chairman RS Ulycis attended the camp.

During the camp, the doctors stressed on livestock management and prevention of diseases including the African Swine Fever.

The insurance team urged the villagers to get their livestock insured.
