Imphal, June 25 2013: RBI Guwahati organised the second edition of All India RBI Inter School Quiz Programme at JN Manipur Dance Academy here today in which 37 teams comprising each of two students from various schools participated.

Imphal was one of the 44 centres chosen by RBI for the quiz programme this year and it was conducted by renowned quiz master Gautam Bose.

RBI Guwahati, Regional Director PK Jena inaugurated the programme.

He stated that the purpose of conducting quiz programme by RBI was to create an awareness and interest among students about the history and role of Reserve Bank, banking and finance, other banking institutions, economics, current affairs, personalities and events that have contributed to the growth and progress of India over the years.

In addition, the objective was to build a connect between Reserve Bank and the young student community.

JN Manipur Dance Academy Director L Upendro was also present at the quiz programme.

The quiz competition was won from the team from Sishu Nistha Niketan and the team was selected to represent Manipur in zonal final which is likely to be held at Kolkata.

All six teams competing in the final round were given prizes and others were given participation certificates.
