Imphal, January 25 2023: The valedictory function of the 7th Annual Central Agricultural University (CAU) Inter - Collegiate Games and Sports and Youth Festival 2023 was held today at the auditorium of College of Agriculture (COA) , CAU, Iroisemba.

Students Welfare Officer (SWO), COA Imphal L Meghachandra Singh presented a brief report on the 7th Annual CAU Inter - Collegiate Games and Sports and Youth Festival 2023 .

As a part of the programme, prizes were distributed to the winners of various sports, literary and cultural events conducted during the festival.

Speaking as the chief guest, Vice-chancellor CAU Imphal, Dr Anupam Mishra lauded the outstanding performances given by the students of the 13 constituent colleges of the varsity at the numerous events held during the festival.

Such events will inculcate sporting and competition spirit among the students thereby preparing them for bigger competitions in future, he added.

He maintained that the Inter-Collegiate Games and Sports and Youth Festival has been conducted with an aim to promote cultural exchange and sporting spirit among the students.

Dean of COA Iroisemba Professor Indira Sarangthem; Director of Instruction CAU Imphal Dr S Basanta Singh; Director of Extension Education Professor Ph Ranjit Sharma; Registrar Professor K Mamocha Singh; Dean COH, CAU Thenzawl Dr Shri Dhar and Dean COFT ,CAU Imphal Dr Ng Iboyaima Singh also attended the valedictory function.
