Preshaw regrets absence of medical facility

Regretting that not even a specialist doctor is available at present at District Hospital, Ukhrul, Chingai AC MLA MK Preshaw Shimray expressed serious concern that patients needing even minor operation are unable to undertake the surgical process due to absence of basic equipment.
Speaking at a felicitation function of successful Tangkhul candidates in recently declared Manipur Civil Services examination conducted by Manipur Public Service Commission, the MLA highlighted that medical facility in other sub-divisions of the district is even more remorseful.
Noting that the Tangkhul factor had been an important component in the history of Manipur, he called upon the Tangkhul people to contribute their mite for making the cherished goals of the Tangkhuls into a reality.
Preshaw Shimray also presented cash incentive of Rs 5000 each along with gifts to the six successful candidates namely Semmi Ramror, RA Ransing, K Themreingam Rainam, VR Khongreingam and HL Christian.
ICHAM president N Rajendro also presented gifts to the successful candidates.
The felicitation programme was also attended by Parliamentary Secretary Victor Keishing along with Tangkhul IAS, IPS, MCS, MPS officers and ADC Ukhrul Chairman and members.
