Imphal, July 23 2011: A 23-year old young man, driving a car got killed in a road accident that took place on Imphal-Dimapur Road in between Tengdongyan and Maharabi under Sekmai police station last night.

According to information received here, a Maruti car carrying some people was coming from the side of Sekmai when it rammed to a truck stationed on the roadside at around 7.30 pm.

One Nandeibam Dayananda alias Tondon (23) of Khabam Awang Leikai who was driving the car sustained serious injuries and was admitted to RIMS Hospital.

But he succumbed to the injuries at around 2.15 am today.

Post-mortem of the deceased has been conducted at RIMS and later handed over to bereaved family members.
