DC Kpi issues advisory for public

Kangpokpi, March 23 2020:
The District Magistrate Kangpokpi has issued a public advisory for the people of Kangpokpi District after an emergency meeting with DDMA Kangpokpi and Committee for Formulation of Preventive and Intervention Strategies to control the spread of COVID-19 at DC Conference Hall today.
According to Lalithambigai Kalidas, District Magistrate Kangpokpi who is also the Deputy Commissioner of the District, the public advisory was issued in order to contain the spread of COVID-19.It was issued through the village chiefs/chairman/authority to convey the message to their villagers.
The public advisory stated that if any of the villagers returned from outside of the country or the State from March 1, it is requested that they should be reported as per format available to their respective Sub Divisional Officers.
The village chiefs/chairman/authority are advised to take out publicity campaign on the Dos and Don'ts in regard to coronavirus (COVID-19) every day.
The audio clip will be provided by the concerned SDOs.
People coming from a foreign country and affected States are informed to follow self-quarantine guideline along with their respective family members and the village chiefs/chairman/authorities are requested to help in arranging essential commodities for the home quarantine persons.
All religious/cultural and social gatherings and sports activities should be completely banned in the village.
The village chiefs/chairman/authorities should take preventive measures and ask the villagers to not step out of their houses without any reason and for any assistance they can contact their respective SDOs.
