BYFY celebrates golden jubilee

Thoubal, December 22 2024: The golden jubilee celebration of Bishnunaha Youth Federation Yairipok (BYFY) marking 50 years since its inception was held today at the club playground located at Yairipok Bishnunaha under Thoubal district It was attended by Wangkhem Assembly Constituency MLA, Keisham Meghachandra as chief guest, BYFY president, Ananda Laishram as president and Loitongbam Ronel, founder of Memorial Model Academy, Yairipok and elders of the locality as guests of honour.

The celebration which began with the hoisting of the club's flag by the chief guest, honoured the former president, secretaries and other club members who played a significant role for the welfare of the club and locality with citation and traditional shawl.

Addressing the gathering, Ananda Laishram stated that the club plays an important role in uplifting the society and developing a locality or a village.

He continued that today's golden jubilee celebration was organised to honour the former members of the club.

Chief guest, Keisham Meghachandra, MLA of Wangkhem AC stressing the role of a club in a locality, urged the members to perform their duties sincerely when they are in charge for the betterment of the people.

Later as part of the programme, a Thangta performance was also showcased by the artist of Paona Memorial Arts and Rural Development.
