Awareness programme held

A one-day awareness programme on the benefits of skill development training programme under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) scheme was held today at Sora Community Hall, Kakching.
The programme jointly organised by Shyeed Classic Management Centre (SCMC) Sora and Namastasye Special Project Training Centre (NSPTC) Chandel was graced by Kakching Zilla Parishad, Up-Adhyaksha, Md Nazimuddin; NSPTC Chandel, chief functionary, W Rajiv Luwang; SCMC Sora, Managing Director, Md Adil Shahid and NSPTC Chandel, Project Manager, S Sushilkumar as the presidium members.
Speaking at the event, S Sushilkumar stated that the main objective of Namastasye Service Private Limited, whose Head Office is at New Delhi, is to provide training on skill development to the youth so that they could become self-reliant and valuable asset to the Nation.
Under PMKVY, the non-government company is now giving training to over 5000 people by opening 15 centres across the country, he said adding that 6 centres are opened in North East at Manipur, Sikkim, Mizoram and Meghalaya.
For Manipur, two centres are opened at Chandel District and one at Bishnupur District, he continued.
Sushilkumar also lamented that the company is targeting to provide jobs to 50,000 unemployed youth by 2024 by imparting training on electronic and hardware sector, computer, media and entertainment sector, make up, apparel and tailoring sectors.
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, GoI, will give skill certificate and cash reward to all the individuals who passed the training programme, he said and maintained that the said certificate will help obtain MUDRA loan and other benefits of the Government.
