Meitei Mayek course conducted

The beginners' tutorial programme on Meitei Mayek organized by the Association of Manipuri Diaspora (AMAND), Pune has concluded at Pune University on July 20.AMAND is a non profit, non government community organisation formed by the Manipuri professionals working/retired from the Central Government or Maharashtra Government or other reputed Institutes based in and around Pune.
The programme was started on June 8 to create a common platform for anyone to know about the North Eastern states which is in line to the ideology of AMAND "Let them know as we know them" .
Category-wise exam was held as well and Nancy Huidrom of Class VII of St Joseph High School, Pashan topped the category I (below 18 year) and Soubam (O) Ranjana Devi topped the category II (above 18 )in the final exam held for the beginner course of Meitei Mayek.
The toppers will be awarded cash prize, memento and certificates and all those participants of Category I will be encouraged with special gifts during the annual gathering of AMAND scheduled in September.
AMAND, Pune also lauded Dr M Niraj Luwang, the course co-ordinator for his selfless efforts and coordination to make the programme a grand success.
