Imphal, May 21 2015 : Manipur University Eimi Welfare Society (MUEWS) today organised the 15th Eimi Meet 2015 at the Centenary Hall of Manipur University.

The function was graced by Lok Sabha MP Thangso Baite; Haokhomang Haokip, Director of Rural Aid Service (RAS); MUEWS adviser Seikholal Haokip and social worker Palal Singsit as the dignities.

As a part of the meet, a dance depicting the unity and peaceful co-existence of the Eimi family such as Mizo, Paite, Simte, Thadou, Vaiphei, Zou, Gangte, Aimol, Chin, Chiru, Chothe, Hmar, Koireng and Kom etc was showcased.

Cultural dances of each tribe were also performed.

Achievers and successful personalities of the Society were also felicitated.

Speaking at the occasion, MP Thangso Baite appealed to the students to uphold the spirit of unity and peaceful coexistence.

He further advised the students to work hard to excel in their chosen fields and to contribute in the overall development of the State.
