Catholic School fetes meritorious students

Imphal, July 20 2022: Catholic School, Canchipur organised a felicitation programme for students of the school, who cleared the HSLCE 2022 with flying colours at Fr Manianchira Memorial Hall on Wednesday.

DM University vice-chancellor professor N Rajmuhon, Reverend Dominic Lumon of Archbishop of Imphal and retired PWD chief engineer M Lokendro attended the event as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

School principal reverend Fr (Dr) Stephen Touthang was also present at the occasion.

In a statement, the school authority informed that the mission school had been getting good results securing various ranks except the top position.

However, Rahul Laishram has broken the deadlock and is the first in the history of Catholic School, Canchipur to have achieved first rank in HSLC examination.

Apart from Rahul, Jelina Yambem (12th rank), Suhani Rahman and Veronica Ningombam (21st rank), Yumnam Kananjit and Sanajaoba Oinam (subject toppers in Mathematics) and Kabonlu Longmei (subject topper in Elective Manipuri) along with eight other students, who brought laurels to the school were felicitated on the occasion.

Teaching and non-teaching staff, local guardians, parents, representatives of Van Drivers' Association and well-wishers also attended the felicitation function.
