AR, Moreh constructs toilet for children home

Tengnoupal, May 19 2019: 26 Sector AR, Moreh Battalion under the aegis of IGAR South constructed a toilet block for children of JJ Children Home, Moreh under its Civil Action Programme which was inaugurated by Town Commander today, reports our correspondent.

The inaugural function was attended by the children, the caretakers of the children's home and the representatives of AR.

Moreh Bn of AR has been making continuous efforts to address the grievances and to ensure a better and dignified living standard of children of the orphanage.

A number of initiatives have been taken by the Battalion which include free medical camps, provision to provide basic amenities, sports equipment and creation of sports infrastructure.

The care takers extended their heartfelt gratitude to the AR for the noble gesture as the absence of toilet block for 35 children was affecting the basic hygiene and sanitation of the complex.

The AR representatives also assured their continuous support for the well being of the children.

They also informed that the proposal for construction of a seperate toilet block for girl children has already been approved and will be completed expeditiously by the end of July adding that supplementing the effort of civil administration and bringing prosperity for the prosperity of the residents of border area has been the focus point of the Battalion which will be continued relentlessly.
