Imphal, February 19 2021: The State Assembly today okayed six demands for grants amounting to Rs 4073,75,32,000.The demands were for Education (Rs 2555,27,87,000, MAHUD (Rs 721,76,24,000), Election (Rs 74,30,34,000), Water Resources (Rs 618,38,97,000), Horticulture and Soil Conservation (Rs 98,39,00,000) and Science & Technology (Rs 5,62,90,000) .

The demands for grants were tabled in the State Assembly by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Y Joykumar one by one.

In the course of discussing the demands, Opposition MLAs AK Mirabai, Th Lokeshwar, D Korungthang, K Meghachandra, Alfred Kanngam Arthur, Okram Surjakumar, K Govindas, N Loken, Kh Joykisan and Md Fajur Rahim raised policy cut motions.
