IRCS Senapati distributes hygiene kits to District Widow Association

Senapati, January 19 2022:
Indian Red Cross Society, Senapati Branch under the aegis of Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch distributed hygiene kits to widows of Senapati district.
The distribution programme was held at Senapati Ground in the presence of Dr RK Nemai Singh, general secretary IRCS, Manipur State Branch and executives of the district branch.
In his welcome note, N Benjamin Tao, secretary Senapati branch said that the programme was conducted to assist the widows of Senapati districts.
Stating that the District Widow Association had earlier approached him for assistance, N Benjamin mentioned that hygiene kits were provided to 140 members of the association while assuring to provide all possible assistance in the future.
Dr RK Nemai Singh mentioned that IRCS is a voluntary organization for the service of humanity and urged all to cooperate with them even in the future.
He also appealed to the public to get themselves vaccinated and follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour at all times to combat the pandemic.
A women representative expressed her appreciation for the concern shown to widows of the district during these hard times.
Stating that it was a first of its kind event, she mentioned that the felicitation has encouraged the widows who have been wondering what to do, how to go on and how to live.
The women representative also appealed to State IRCS and authorities concerned to look into the suffering of widows and provide assistance in the future.
