Imphal, December 18 2012: Altogether 36 doctors in Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal have been promoted.

Prof S.Sekharjit, Director, distributed the promotion orders during a recent meeting of the faculties and heads of department, according to a statement.

While welcoming the promotees, the Director reminded them of the mandatory provision of serving the institute in the capacity of the posts from which they were promoted till alternative arrangements are made.

There is suitable penalty for the infraction of this provision.

Ten doctors have been promoted from Associate Professors to Professors.

Another ten doctors have also been promoted from Assistant professors to Associate professors.

Nine senior registrars, senior demonstrators, registrars and demonstrators were also promoted to Assistant professors.

Seven registrars and demonstrators were also promoted to senior registrars and senior demonstrators, the statement added.
