Stringent measures against embezzler: Francis

Striking a tough posture against reported withdrawal of funds under MGNREGS without implementing the work, newly inducted PR and RD Minister, Francis Ngajokpa has affirmed to take stringent measures against such deceivers.
He was speaking at a reception function organised by Wilong Block Villages Welfare Committee in his honour at his native, Willong Village in Senapati district yesterday.
Stating that MGNREGA is one of the most significant flagship programmes of the UPA Government, Minister Francis Ngajokpa said it is very disheartening to hear reports about mismanagement and practice of wrongdoing while implementing the same.
The Minister affirmed that no one would be spared if cases of hoodwinking is detected and they would be made to face the music.
The Minister, who represents Tadubi AC, also assured to provide adequate facilities in improvement of the road, education, power, and medical conditions of the AC after due consultation with the concerned ministers while seeking the cooperation of the public towards the achievement of the goals.
Minister Francis Ngajokpa was accorded a rousing reception by the locals with presentations of gifts and garlands.
Cultural troupes of various villages in the Wilong circle presented traditional dances and songs during the reception function yesterday.
